there is a first time for everything. they say creating a blog unleashes parts of your soul you never knew existed; it's dangerous, invigorating, and downright indescribable. i'll be honest, i've actually never heard anybody say any of those things about blog-making. i'll be honest again and say that i don't have any of those emotions inside of me. i feel like i should be sitting in a dimly lit studio with my freshly finished canvas drying beside me, my paint stained fingers writing an inspiring piece about the pure beauty of art and the 'little things' in life.
although i'm pretty close to that fantasy, i'm actually sitting alone in my dorm room with nothing but my flickering desk lamp and a dirty fork from lunch; not like the aspiring artist, but more like the creepy kid who has no friends and does things like watch reruns of America's Next Top Model from 2007 and google different personality quizzes that usually just end up diminishing my self-esteem. needless to say, i am content.
enough about me and my lonely thursday nights, and more about the introduction to a beautiful birth of a portion of the internet that will be read by all. the authors? Mara Bensing and Gina Bianchi. we call ourselves b^2 because both of our last names start with a 'b'. we know it's clever. we know. we enjoy the movie bridesmaids to the point of it being unhealthy. or really healthy. whichever way you want to look at it. so if we quote it, feel free to lol. otherwise, accept that it is the addiction talking.
soo yeah..i guess we'll just pave the road for all you amateur bloggers and pretend like we know how to do all of this. i'm also not sure at what point being offensive and inappropriate on the internet terminates my chances at a future job, so we'll do our best to keep things G. or PG. maybe PG-13. or R. whatever.
